Essential Job Functions (must have)
- Communicate effectively with business, product, design and technical staff to gather requirements and needs
- Adopt agile approach to software development
- Work in an independent fashion on tasks assigned to meet required deadlines
- Must be willing to use online collaboration and efficiency tools.
- Keep up with new industry technologies and best practice
Technical Skills
- ASP.NET (VB.NET, C#), .NET webservices
- Hand code HTML
- Hand code Cascading Style Sheets
- Hand code Java Script
- Hand code XML / XSL
- Hand code Ajax
- Proficient with SQL Server 2005
- Experienced with Windows Server 2003 (domain management, DNS, Load Balancing, Active Directory)
- Experienced with IIS 6+, good understanding of deployment of an ecommerce website
- Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming (IE Design patterns)
- Good understanding of UML
- Create both technical and user oriented documentation
- Understand the importance of a unit testing framework
- Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues
- Familiarity with Web 2.0 concepts
Experience
- Must have at least 2 years experience in .NET development
Education
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in IT, computer systems or technology or equivalent
